After ten years of serving frozen desserts in Hilliard, the Little Ice Cream Shoppe has officially closed its doors.

In a statement posted to its Instagram account earlier this month, the Hilliard ice cream spot announced the closure.

“We truly appreciate all of the great memories… everything from our spirit nights with the local schools to our Christmas Train display. It has been a wonderful adventure and we appreciate all your support over the last 10 years,” it reads.

According to the statement, this isn’t the end of the road for the owners of the Little Ice Cream Shoppe, who have opened a new chocolate store in Uptown Westerville called Sugarbees Fine Confections.

Additionally, another specialty ice cream shop, Strawser’s Ice Cream, Pop & Candy Shop will soon be taking over the former home of Little Ice Cream Shoppe, which is located at 3229 Hilliard Rome Rd. The concept will focus on candy, ice cream and a unique variety of soda-based ice cream floats.
