After opening last September, this Downtown eatery has closed

Toroya Moroccan Cuisine held the grand opening of its new eatery last September, but now less than a year later, the restaurant has closed its doors.

Currently, signage posted to the eatery’s front door indicates it’s for sale, and its listed phone number is no longer operational. Additionally, Toroya’s website reads “The restaurant has closed.”

Toroya Moroccan Cuisine was located at 72 E. Lynn St. in Downtown Columbus.

The Lynn Street storefront that formerly housed Toroya was previously home to Aroma Restaurant, which opened in early July of 2021.

While it was still operational, Toroya was self-described as “the first authentic Moroccan restaurant in Downtown Columbus,” offering a variety of Moroccan dishes, including Tagine in traditional north African pots and even tea served from ornate Moroccan teapots.
