Less than a year after the Hilton Columbus Downtown tower opened to the public, The Arch City has received another highly-anticipated new hotel.

According to a press release, The Junto, billed as an “independent lifestyle hotel” that aims to serve as a “dynamic hub to bring people together within the Columbus community,”  has officially opened its doors to the public.

The new hotel is located at 77 Belle St. in Franklinton.

Aside from an ambitious self-description and a chic design, the hotel is also primed to become a culinary hub for Columbus residents and visiting guests. It will offer multiple new food concepts, including Little West Poutine (which will serve as a walk-up window that’s open late); the rooftop bar Brass Eye; and the “wood-hearth neighborhood tavern” Little West Tavern, which serves as the hotel’s primary spot for dinner guests.

These eateries are not open yet, but are slated do open “during the summer months,” according a press release.

“I am incredibly proud and humbled to bring The Junto to Columbus,” said Jimmy Merkel, CEO of Rockbridge, the developer behind the new hotel. “Having witnessed the remarkable growth and potential of this city, we wanted to take the best parts of our other projects and bring them to life at The Junto, I think we did that. The Junto is not only a hotel—it’s a testament to the evolution and the city of Columbus which is poised for extraordinary growth. I have seen the impact our other Makeready hotels have had in other markets, and now I’m looking forward to bringing that same community impact to my hometown.”
