After closing last spring, this long-standing Pizzeria has reopened under new ownership

After closing last April, a popular Lancaster pizza spot has been given a second life.

Tiberio’s Pizza, following a relocation to a new home in downtown Lancaster, opened its doors on March 3.

Originally located at 2610 N. Columbus St., Tiberio’s moved to 416 N. Columbus St. Both storefronts are in Lancaster.

The long-standing local spot, which has been serving Columbus-style pies since 1990, was purchased by a new ownership group of veteran restauranteurs last year.

The owners of Bob’s Backyard Barbecue, Bob and Maggie Bennett, alongside the owners of The DogHouse Tavern, David Foraker, Carey Smeck and Gary Smeck, purchased the pizzeria.

The eatery, which also offers Stromboli, salads, subs and sides, only opened to the public for carryout. It will be opened from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Follow Tiberio’s Facebook page for updates on its dining room.
