Breakfast chain with “world famous pancakes” opening another Columbus location

I hop, you hop, we all hop for…IHOP? The “ice cream” rendition of that tune may sound better, but some people prefer to satisfy their sweet tooth with pancakes and waffles rather than a scoop of frozen dairy.

And now, there’s going to be another chance to do that. According to city permits and verified with city engineers, IHOP is opening another Central Ohio location, but this time, more centrally located in Columbus rather than on the outskirts and/or suburbs.

This new IHOP will be located at 2040 N. High St., on OSU’s campus, in the building that once housed Moe’s Southwest Grill.

IHOP has other locations in Grove City, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Dublin, and the Hilliard area. They’re known for their “world famous” buttermilk pancakes and breakfast combos, and for staying open 24 hours a day. If the line at the N. High St. Waffle House is too long (which it notoriously can be on some weekends), there will be another option soon.

No opening date has been announced yet, but stay tuned.
