Cafe chain at iconic downtown intersection closes its doors

One of the most recognizable Tim Hortons storefronts in Columbus has shuttered.

After more than a decade, the Tim Hortons location on the corner of Broad Street and North High Street has closed its doors for good.

A sign on the door of the now-closed eatery informs customers they can still find a Tim Hortons at 200 W. Nationwide Blvd.

The Canadian coffee and donut shop is another eatery on a growing list of Downtown spots that have recently closed. While Tim Hortons enjoyed more than ten years at their former home, concepts like The Dry Mill closed its doors late last year after opening in the spring of 2022, and La Salle’s Southern Kitchen and Bar closed late last year after opening in the fall of 2021.

It’s unclear what will take over the storefront at Broad Street and High Street.
