Central Ohio pizzeria holding pizza-eating contest with 35 vendors, multiple food trucks

For the first time since 2019, a popular central Ohio pizza-eating contest has returned.

The fifth annual Pat’s Pizza Eating Contest is returning June 3. It will be hosted by Pat’s Pizza & Pub, which is located at 55 E. Main St. in West Jefferson. The pizzeria is approximately 20 minutes east of Downtown Columbus.

Contestants will have seven minutes to eat as much pizza as possible. The winner will receive $250, the runner up will receive a $25 Pat’s gift certificate and the third place finisher will receive a $10 Pat’s gift certificate.

Entry into the contest costs $20. If you’re interested, you can stop by Pat’s to sign up, or email Belinda Ewing at [email protected]. Contestants must be at least 16 years old to participate.

The contest will take place during the 7th Annual Route 40 Crafts & Vendors Show, so if you don’t feel like eating an obscene amount of pizza in a single sitting, there will be plenty to do outside of this. Graeter’s Ice Cream and Tortilla Street Food will also have food trucks on hand.
