Popular Columbus chef to be featured on Food Network’s ‘Beat Bobby Flay’

In case the show’s name and premise don’t offer viewers enough incentive to root for the underdog on Food Network’s series “Beat Bobby Flay,” we have one more big one for you.

Avishar Barua, the standout Columbus Chef who recently opened a pair of restaurants in Joya’s Cafe and Agni, is set to appear on season 33, episode 4 of “Beat Bobby Flay.”

In case you aren’t familiar, the show pits two contestant chefs against each other for the right to challenge Flay. They both create a dish using an ingredient chosen by Flay, and the winner, who is chosen by a panel of judges in a blind taste test, then takes on the longtime Food Network host himself in a final round.
