Columbus craft brewery unveils new food truck concept known as Trail Magic Kitchen

While we still don’t yet know when Nocterra Brewing Co.’s new taproom and restaurant will officially open its Whittier Peninsula location, we’ll be able to get a taste of what the space’s in-house restaurant will offer sooner rather than later.

Earlier this week, Nocterra announced the launch of a brand-new food truck concept called Trail Magic Kitchen, a reference to the Appalachian trail, and the wilderness focus the brand has valued since its inception.

“That’s our nod to the outdoors, we try to incorporate it into everything we do,” said Nocterra partner and director of marketing James Knott.

The truck isn’t ready to open just yet, but when it does, Knott said it will be overseen by Carmine Catullo, who was tapped as Executive Chef of Nocterra Brewing at Audubon, the name of Nocterra’s new space.

Knott said Trail Magic Kitchen will serve contemporary American cuisine with a culinary flair, and will initially be overseen by Catullo, affording patrons the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the eatery new’s restaurant.

Even after Nocterra Brewing at Audubon opens, Trail Magic Kitchen will serve a prominent role in the Nocterra brand, as it will operate as a regular fixture outside of Nocterra’s Powell taproom, serving as the spot’s own kitchen space.

“Trail Magic Kitchen’s main purpose will be providing food to our customers in Powell. We currently have Ray Ray’s Hog Pit there Thursday-Sunday; They do a great job and we’re happy they’re sticking around, but this will let us have consistent food offerings seven days a week,” Knott said.

Trail Magic Kitchen is currently hiring. You can apply for a position here if you’re interested.
