Columbus is one of the best burger cities in the country, according to new real estate data list

While central Ohio residents know The Arch City has no shortage of burger options, a new list from real estate data company Clever has tapped Columbus as one of the top burger cities in the nation.

According to the list, which ranked 100 American cities by their burger prowess, Columbus is the country’s 12th-best burger city.

The study analyzed a number of metrics, including the number of burger restaurants per 100,000 residents, annual income required to buy a McDonald’s Value Meal, average Yelp rating of local burger restaurants and even categories for home burger chefs, like the price of ingredients needed to create burgers at home.

The presence of 10.2 burger restaurants per 100,000 residents helped boost The Arch City’s score, as did the fact that burger ingredients are relatively cheap compared to other cities.

The Clever list also identified Columbus as an underrated burger city, noting that, while it took the 12th overall spot for cities in the United States, only 2.7 percent of individuals polled identified it as a burger city.
