Columbus pizzeria returning Hell is Real pizza this week only

With the Columbus Crew and FC Cincinnati scheduled to battle it out in the MLS Eastern Conference finals on Dec. 2, a local pizzeria has returned one of is most memorable pies.

The Hell is Real Pizza from Mikey’s Late Night Slice has returned for a few days this week only.

“The Hell Is Real Pizza is BACK Thursday-Sunday to celebrate the MLS Conference Finals matching up both Ohio teams and guaranteeing this great state a spot in the finals one way or another,” an Instagram post from Mikey’s reads.

The pie itself features spicy chorizo and pepperocinis on top of a Mikey’s classic red sauce dashed with Sauce Boss Gang’s La Jefe, a super-spicy hot sauce created using scorpion peppers.

 If you didn’t already know, the Hell is Real rivalry is the name given to the rivalry between Columbus’ and Cincinnati’s MLS teams, named for the now-infamous billboards along the stretch of I-71 that connect the two cities.
