Fat Girl Bakery is coming to Westerville

Jack McLaughlin

A Columbus bakery known for decadent brownie treats is making its way to Westerville.

According to owner Amy Whalen, Fat Girl Bakery is currently relocating to a brand-new, upgraded storefront in Westerville, located at 6457 Hamilton Rd.

The bakery was previously located at 1347 Cameron Ave, in Lewis Center. According to Whalen, the new storefront will provide the concept with a serious boost of exposure, as its previous store was located behind the Oak Creek Shopping Center.

“I’m so excited about this. I’m a Gahanna grad and grew up in New Albany. I survived Covid as a business while being unseen from the road. But now you’ll see us and our nice pink sign,” she said. “We can not wait for you to see our new location!”

Fat Girl Bakery closed its Lewis Center storefront on Feb. 17, but plans to reopen at its new home in the middle of March.

Whalen said the new location will continue to offer the cupcakes and brownies the bakery was known for, but will also add doughnuts, a coffee line and even a handful of savory items.
