For the third year, Columbus man creates spreadsheet with chicken wing deals, top picks from nearly 100 local restaurants

When it comes to Columbus chicken wing knowledge, nobody clucks with Austin Yochus.

The local foodie, known for his meticulously-researched lists of chicken wing deals and recommendations, just rolled out a brand-new, comprehensive list that includes chicken wing deals and recommendations for more than 100 Columbus eateries.

Yochus has been creating the list annually since 2021, and he published an updated version for 2023 yesterday evening.

“During Covid, my friends and I wanted to try and find the best wings in Columbus,” Yochus told 614Now in an interview last summer. “As I was researching places, I found most had different specials throughout the week since business was usually slower then. I was trying to keep track of all the places we wanted to try and what their specials were, and decided to throw it into a google sheet so it was easy to read.”

Yochus’ list contains more than 60 different confirmed wing night deals for 2023 and several additional “unconfirmed” deals, from eateries that boasted specials in previous years.

Additionally, the 2023 list contains more than 30 different recommendations for restaurants with wings that have been approved by Yochus.
