Because takeout sandwiches are still undefeated when it comes to lunch options, a recently-opened Lancaster sandwich shop should be on your culinary radar.

Triple P’s, which stands for Papa’s Panini Place according to Felicia Hale, who owns the eatery alongside her husband, Sean Hale, held its grand opening yesterday in Lancaster. The eatery opened after a “trial run” soft opening that began on March 21. The new sandwich shop is located at 117 S. Columbus St. in Lancaster.

The eatery focuses on paninis, soups and sandwiches, but also offers house-made sides that rotate on a weekly basis. The new Lancaster spot is also committed to sourcing as locally as possible, according to Hale.

“All of our breads and baked items are made fresh from a local bakery, and we get everything else local, from markets and farms,” she said.

After roughly three weeks of service, Hale said Triple P’s most popular sandwiches are its Italian and Reuben, followed closely by the Turkey Bacon Club and Beef and Cheddar.

“Another contender is the Brie and Blueberry,” Hale said. “It’s made from brie cheese and frsh blueberry preserves.”

The new restaurant is open 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday. Triple P’s is closed Sunday and Monday.
