From burgers to mac and cheese bars, here are the seven recently-announced restaurants coming to the University District

University Square–the area of OSU campus formerly known as 15th and High–continues to add top-tier dining options to its offerings.

Yesterday, Campus Partners released a list of seven new food concepts coming to University Square. Some, such as Dave’s Hot Chicken and Smashburger, 614Now has previously reported on. A handful of the concepts are brand-new to Columbus-area as well.

Genghis Grill (first brick and mortar location in Ohio)

18 E. 15th Ave.

Healthy and endlessly customizable spot for fast-casual, build-your-own bowls. Opening May 2023.

Dave’s Hot Chicken

1828 N. High St.

Another location for the explosively-popular Nashville-style chicken tenders is coming to Columbus. Opening later this year.

Smashburger

1840 N. High St.

The popular national burger chain plans to once again operate multiple Columbus-area locations. Opening later this year

Cincinnati’s indulgent mac and cheese creations are headed to central Ohio. Opening Summer 2023.

Slammie’s on High

1607 N. High St.

A spinoff of the beloved Slammer’s Bar & Pizza Kitchen promises the same great pizza, and the same inclusive atmosphere. Opening March 3.

Auntie Anne’s / Cinnabon

1619 N. High St.

Why settle for one of these decadent dessert chains when you can add two? Opening summer 2023.
