A unique new eatery serving authentic Mexico City tacos is coming to Whitehall.

Tacos D’Kache, which recently opened in Whitehall as a food truck, will be opening its own brick and mortar restaurant at 4257 E. Main St.

According to owner Dani Hernandez, the restaurant is currently under construction and will likely open in the spring of 2024.

And while the spot’s menu features enticing options like authentic birria and tacos el pastor, it’s more than likely visitors will be feasting their eyes first at the restaurant.

The Tacos D’Kache food truck, which is also located at 4257 E. Main St., is covered bumper to bumper in bold and bright graffiti that was inspired by the time Hernandez spent growing up in Mexico City.

“I’m from Mexico City, and I know a lot of graffiti artists there, that’s where everything comes from,” said Hernandez, who was behind the design of the truck’s wrap.

The new restaurant space will also center its interior decor around graffiti art, so keep an eye out if you’re on the east side.
