Iconic Downtown bagel & sandwich concept announces closure at the end of September
“Sadly, our space is not as productive as it could be to get more bagels out in a timely matter,” announced Bagel Street Deli via social media.
Bagel Street Deli is a food truck parked right outside Jackie O’s Brewery at 171 N. 4th St. – and just like Jacki O’s, they gained their popularity from the Athens crowd, and made their way to Columbus. Their original location is a tiny storefront with 20 different bagel selections in the heart of Athens, and they opened a food truck in Columbus this past summer. It’s now closing this month.

“Thank you to everyone for the love and support this summer,” their social media post reads. “We are incredibly thankful to Jackie O’s On Fourth for giving us a spot to bring the BSD bagelwich to Columbus. However, the food truck will be leaving Columbus on September 25th. It will be heading ‘home’ to Athens for a much needed tune up.”
Bagelwich lovers might have something to look forward to, though. “We truly hope to bring our food truck back to Columbus in the Spring of 2024! Please follow our Instagram to stay updated on the plans of the food truck!” Bagel Street Deli said.
From now until September 24th, you can visit BSD Wednesday through Saturday, 11am-7pm, and Sundays from 10am-2pm, and of course, die-hard BSD fans can still visit their Athens location.
