MasterChef semi-finalist serves up a taste of the Midwest

Jack McLaughlin

This summer, MasterChef fans watched one Columbus local take his cooking skills all the way to the semi-finals of the hit Fox show. Now he’s cooking up something unique for local foodies.

Entrepreneur and chef Wayne Lewis is hosting a “Midwest Tasting Tour” dining event at High Bank Distillery in Grandview on Sunday November 12 from 6-9pm. The ticketed event features a 5-course tasting menu along with wine and cocktail pairings.

“I was honored to represent the Midwest on this season of MasterChef and that’s really the inspiration behind this menu. Each dish is inspired by a unique culinary staple of our region and I’m excited to show what elevated Midwestern cuisine can be,” said Lewis.

The menu includes dishes such as pumpkin risotto with pumpkin goat cheese and dried cranberries that plays homage to Wayne’s Masterchef journey.

The full menu and ticket information is available here. The event is nearly sold out with fewer than 10 tickets remaining.

“It’s going to be an incredible night filled with great food, amazing cocktails and making memories by sharing a great dining experience together.” added Lewis.
