A new spot for steakburgers, chili cheese fries, and shakes is coming to Columbus for the first time.

DJ Hospitality Group confirmed that their chain, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, is opening in the next 18-24 months at 1755 Hilliard Rome Rd., in the same square that houses Sam’s Club and other retail stores.

Freddy’s is set to open a Grove City location, too, at 4108 Buckeye Parkway, according to plans submitted to Grove City.

Their menu offers a wide variety of steakburgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and even a veggie burger made from black beans, which has been awarded a “favorite vegan option” by Huffington Post. Sides include cheese fries, onion rings, cheese curds, and of course, their famous custard milkshakes, malts, root beer floats, and sundaes.

This national chain started in Wichita, Kansas in 2002, and now has over 400 locations around the country. It’s considered the #8 fastest growing chain in the U.S., according to the Restaurant Business’s list.
