New festival dedicated to bourbon launching in Columbus

Jack McLaughlin

Next month, Columbus distillery Watershed Distillery plans to hold the first-ever BourbonFest, an event that’s billed as “a celebration of America’s favorite spirit.”

The inaugural event will be held April 22 from 6-10 p.m. at Watershed Distillery, which is located at 1145 Chesapeake Ave.

BourbonFest will feature food, live music from Angela Perley and Year of the Buffalo, plenty of cocktails and the debut of Watershed’s Uncut Unfiltered Bourbon. The festival will even host a build your own bourbon flight workshop and a Watershed Distillery Bourbon 101 class.

“Bourbon is best enjoyed with family and friends, and BourbonFest provides a new way to come together, have fun and sip some delicious bourbons,” said Greg Lehman, Watershed founder and CEO in a press release. “What started as a very patient journey with bourbon in 2010, has evolved into a real passion for Watershed. We are incredibly proud of the bourbons we produce today and how we have refined our craft over the years. We can’t wait to see what people think of our Uncut Unfiltered releasing at the event.”

A limited number of tickets are on sale now, and tickets will not be available at the door. You can buy them here.

Tickets for BourbonFest, which cost $30, can be purchased here. Each ticket includes three $10 food and beverage vouchers.
