New Mexican eatery, ‘Tacos and Beer,’ now open

Tacos and beer – the ultimate duo – which is why this new Grove City restaurant went with the appropriate name, “Tacos and Beer” for their new restaurant.

Tacos and Beer opened a couple of weeks ago at 2348 Stringtown Rd. in Grove City. Just as their name suggests, their menu features a variety of different tacos and a Mexican beer selection (as well as tortas, birria bowls, quesadillas, and frozen margaritas).

The owners of Fiesta Mariachi on Stringtown road “…wanted to open a more authentic restaurant that had true Mexican tacos,” said the Tacos and Beer manager. They extended their love of Mexican food into this new concept, but just with a smaller, more specialized menu that’s reminiscent of a taco stand in Mexico.

The tacos are simple but powerful: a soft corn tortilla, onion, cilantro, and your choice of protein (al pastor, steak, grilled chicken, birria, or veggie poblano).  You can create a combo with 2 tacos of your choice, Mexican rice, and frijoles charros (refried beans). Fresh cucumbers, radishes, and of course, limes, are served along the tacos, as well.
