Columbus’ love for smash burgers doesn’t appear to be coming to an end anytime soon, as another concept offering the ever-popular burger variety is preparing to open for business

Smash City 614, a new smash burger food truck, posted a statement to its social media accounts that it will hold a soft opening on Dec. 26.

“Join us at 485 Pickerington Hills Dr. and be one of the first to experience our mouthwatering food truck delights,” the statement reads. “Bring your friends, family and foodie buddies to celebrate this delicious moment together.”

According to owners Katie and Joe Delzoppo, the truck served as a former Hibachi Hut truck, which was previously by Joe Delzoppo’s sister and brother and law, both currently owners of Hibachi Hut.

The new concept will offer smash burgers (as singles, doubles and triples), chili dogs, chicken tenders and more.

“Being from Cincinnati, My roots are instilled in german cooking and comfort food. As a chef I enjoy simplicity in food. A lot of times in the culinary world less is more,” Katie Delzoppo told (614)Now. “Also nothing goes more hand in hand than a beer and a burger.”
