New Yelp list of country’s best donut shops features two Ohio stores

Not one, but two different Ohio donut shops are among the country’s best, according to Yelp.

The food review giant recently published its 2nd annual list of the country’s best 100 donut stores, and while no Columbus-area stores were named, both shops are well within reasonable day-trip range.

The highest-rated Buckeye State donut-seller on the list is Biago’s Donut Shop & Pizzeria, which has served Eastlake for more than 60 years.

Not far behind Bagio’s was another Ohio donut shop, and one that’s even closer to Columbus. Bill’s Donut Shop in Centerville Took the 37th spot. Opening three years before Biago’s, Bill’s serves up a wide variety of classic donut styles, in addition to some lesser-seen variations like their pretzel donut (a donut folded to resemble a pretzel). The donut store, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is located just over an hour away from Downtown Columbus.

To create the list, Yelp compiled a massive list of donut shops in the United States, analyzing a number of factors for each, including the net volume of reviews, and the average of the Yelp ratings each spot received between Jan. 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.
