New York City inspired deli and sandwich shop opens in Columbus area

A new Columhus-area eatery is serving up big sandwiches inspired by the Big Apple.

NYC Deli Mart, which is located at 38 S. Sandusky St. in Delaware, officially opened for business in late February. 

The Downtown Delaware eatery, as its name suggests, offers a variety of New York-style sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The new eatery offers a number of New York classics, like the Bacon, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich and the Chop Cheese, which features ground beef, grilled onions, green pepper, mayo and ketchup in a sandwich that feels like a bit like a deconstructed cheeseburger inside of a hoagie roll. In a good way.

NYC Deli Mart also offers a massive menu of hot sandwiches, cold subs, salads, gyros, quesadillas and bowls.

The Delaware Sandwich shop is open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.
