Ohio-based eatery boasting “no-manager policy” planning 10 Columbus locations
A fast-casual chain featuring pan-Asian fare and a unique leadership model is headed to Columbus for the first time, and with multiple locations in tow.
According to a press release, Balance Grille the Toledo-based chain for fast-casual Asian bowls, bubble tea and more plans to open 10 Columbus locations through franchising.
“Columbus has always been on our list of markets we are interested in introducing Balance Grille to,” said co-Founder Prakash Karamchandani in a press release. “We are excited by the idea of meeting consumer demand by bringing Balance Grille closer to Columbus fans who are already familiar with the brand, as well as, introducing Balance Grille to those who may have not heard of it before.”

It’s currently unclear where Balance Grille will be located, or when it plans to open its first Columbus store.
The eatery adopts a unique employment structure, which it refers to as a “no-manager policy.” This means that 75 percent of its employees are trained as a shift leader, and Balance Grille operates through a peer-based management system.
