Ohio pizzeria famous for crazy pies introduces pizza with pineapple, banana and curry powder

While the debate about pineapple on pizza will likely rage on until long after we’re all gone, apparently the debate about banana on pizza is just beginning.

And to be frank, we’re not quite sure what to think of it.

Roscoe’s Pizza, the polarizing pizzeria located just over an hour south of Columbus in Corwin, Ohio, posted about one of its 100 specialty pizzas last month, The Tropical Cruise. The pie starts innocuously enough, with a base of pizza sauce, followed by cheese, ham and pineapple, although it also sees the addition of banana and curry powder.

In all honesty, however, we won’t knock this one until we try it. In fact, the pizzeria’s other banana-topped pie, The Elvis, has quickly become a popular option for the Corwin pizzeria. It features peanut butter, cheese, bacon, bananas and is topped with honey after it leaves the oven.

Roscoe’s went viral for both The Elvis and another pie topped with seemingly-burnt potato chips earlier this year.
