Owner of new High Street spot will cover everyone’s self-serve drinks if OSU loses to Penn State this weekend
Dear diehard Buckeyes fans, we’ve just discovered a pretty darn good way to hedge your bets when the Buckeyes take on the Nittany Lions next weekend.
According to a statement posted by Ben Morgan, owner of Eupouria, the new University District spot that features a self-service beer wall, if OSU happens to lose to Penn State when the two teams take the field on Oct. 21, everyone’s self-serve drinks during the game are free.
“Hey Columbus! Ben here, one of the owners of @eupouriabar. This Saturday our beloved Buckeyes are facing one of their toughest opponents all season. I’m so confident in our Bucks that I’m going to put my money where my mouth is. If our boys lose, I will personally pay for everyone’s tab on the self-serve system at Eupouria,” a statement posted yesterday evening to the concept’s Instagram reads. “That’s right, either The Buckeyes prevail or I’m putting your tab on my personal credit card. This could be VERY expensive! Don’t let me down @kylemccord and @day.ryan! I’ll see you guys at The You Pour this Saturday for kickoff.”

The statement noted that Eupouria does not over-serve, and its self-service system has preset cutoff amounts in place. You can read more about its self-serve beer wall here. Additionally, guests must be checked in before halftime, the offer only extends to self-service drinks, and only drinks filled during the game.
In case you’re feeling lucky, or we guess unlucky, depending on how you look at it, Eupouria is located at 1568 N. High St., and the Buckeyes game kicks off at noon on Oct. 21.
