A big name in Columbus pizza is teaming up with a former gridiron star and a local designer to stake their claim in the city’s burger scene.

Jamie and Joey Sexton, owners of Sexton’s Pizza, are joining forces with former Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller and designer and stylist Stephen Jordan to launch a brand new concept that should leave Columbus foodies drooling.

The new eatery, Sexton’s Burger Bar, will be located at 921 E. Johnstown Rd. According to Joey Sexton, it will likely open sometime in October or November, although an exact date has not been announced.

While the Sexton brothers are best known for pizza–earlier this year they landed an 8.1 rating from Dave Portnoy of One Bite Pizza Reviews, which is currently tied for the highest score of any Ohio pizzeria–this time, they’re leaning into burgers.

Sexton’s Burger Bar will offer grass-fed Ohio beef for smash burgers, plant-based burgers, hand-cut fries and soft serve ice cream. As its name suggests, the new concept will also feature a full bar.

“We’re excited to team up with Braxton and Stephen to offer Columbus some of the best burgers, fries and soft serve, plus a full bar,” Joey Sexton said.
