A popular spot for fresh crab boils, cajun fried shrimp, and oysters abruptly closed its doors a month ago, but another eatery is set to take its place.

The Seasoned Crab, a Polaris area restaurant, announced via Facebook:

“To Our Dear Customers: We are so sad to announce that our last day in business will be on 7/31 2023. Thank you so much for your business and support. We will miss you ALL,” their post reads.

People commented that they’ll miss this seafood restaurant dearly, too. “We always loved our dinners there. It was some of the best crab that we’ve found since we moved here from Seattle,” a customer said. Another customer commented, “Oh no!! You guys have the best food – we’re definitely going to miss you! Back to boring bland seafood for us…”

A new concept is already set to open at this 665 Sancus Blvd. location though. According to recent city permits and their website, KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot is renovating the building and coming soon.
