Popular chicken wing spot opening new location next week
Slappin Wings is aiming to launch its newest location next week.
According to owner Creddell Gilbert, the chicken wing spot is planning to open its new West Side location at 2384 Sullivant Ave. sometime next week. It will be replacing the former home of Jamaican Cuisine.
Gilbert said the eatery has passed its final inspection with the City of Columbus, and is likely to officially open its doors next week, although a specific day was not named.

Slappin Wings opened its original location at 1600 Oakland Park Ave. earlier this year.
Diners can choose from a number of sauces, including Teriyaki, Mild Fire, Hot Fire, Spicy Garlic, Lemon Pepper, Carolina Gold and its most popular, Slappin’ Sauce, and Slappin Wings also plans to serve sandwiches, pizza and a variety of sides at its new location.
