Popular Columbus BBQ concept opening near east side location

While Barrel & Boar recently shuttered its Uptown Westerville eatery, the popular local concept will be available at a new location on the city’s near east side, and possibly before the end of the year.

Barrel & Boar will be opening a new location inside the Trolley District’s East Market according to East Market director of leasing and operations Aubrey Stevens.

Stevens told 614Now the new Barrel & Boar is aiming to open by the end of the year, but the actual opening date will depend upon city permitting.

“We’re incredibly excited to join the East Market family,” said Stan Riley, owner of Barrel & Boar and Red Barn Hospitality. “Being a part of this vibrant community aligns seamlessly with our mission. We’re proud to back the ownership and vision of the East Market project and are fully committed to contributing positively to its growth and direction.”

While Barrel & Boar is likely the most well-known name joining the market recently, a trio of up-and-coming new vendors were recently announced as well, including:

Buck City Sammies: a food truck serving indulgent, and Ohio-branded, sandwiches

Monster Baby Donuts: local market vendor selling gluten-free donuts

Urban Gourmet: concept slinging burgers, wings and more
