Popular Grandview-area restaurant reopens after extended closure

After a temporary closure that saw the eatery sold to a new owner and undergo renovations, Nong’s Hunan Express is once again for business.

The long-standing restaurant closed early this fall after being sold, and remained shuttered while updates to its interior were completed.

The eatery reopened late last year. Its new owners chose to keep the name Nong’s Hunan Express.

Nong’s is located at 1634 Northwest Blvd., in Fifth by Northwest, just north of Grandview.

Fans of the restaurant will be pleased to learn that even though the eatery is in new hands, its menu still features the variety of Chinese and Thai classics it was known for.

Nong’s Hunan Express is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Friday and 12:30-10 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Saturday.
