Popular national smash burger chain announces grand opening of new Columbus location

Smashburger is open for business at 15+HIGH.

The Denver-based chain known for its burgers, fries and shakes will be holding the grand opening of its new location in the 15+HIGH development on Ohio State campus on Aug. 26.

While the grand opening celebration, which will feature a special appearance from Buckeyes’ running back TreVeyon Henderson, is taking place this weekend, Smashburger is already open to the public at its new location, which is now the concept’s second in Columbus.

Smashburger operates one other central Ohio location in Westerville.

The new eatery, which is located at 1840 N. High St., is currently serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even offers a full bar. 

“We’re excited to open at The Oval, the hub of campus activity, a perfect location that makes it easy for hungry students and locals to satisfy their appetites – whether it’s a burger, a beer or breakfast,” said Toni Bianco, SVP Global Operations for Smashburger in a press release. “We look forward to becoming the go-to dining spot for the Ohio State community and all of Columbus.”
