Popular sandwich concept opening Arena District restaurant

Indulgent Peruvian sandwiches will soon be on the menu in the Arena District.

According to owner Guillermo Perez, Si Señor Peruvian Sandwiches is opening a new location at 155 W. Nationwide Blvd.

“This type of concept is intended for a Downtown, central area, and we’re excited to bring it there,” he said.

Perez, a native of Peru but longtime Columbus restaurant worker and owner, originally opened the concept’s first location in 2010 alongside his wife Christell Gozzer, and the pair has been offering their unique Peruvian sandwiches to Columbus ever since.

While Si Señor has operated additional locations in the past (that have since closed), Perez believes pairing with several new co-owners for the Arena District venture will be what the sandwich shop needs in an additional store.

“I’m good with restaurants and cooking but I don’t have the energy to take over an entire second store myself, “ he said. “They understand the marketing and social media aspects, and they’re going to run it from that end.”

Perez said the new location will likely open later this year, although an opening date was not announced.

The new location will operate with a more concise menu, featuring fewer sandwiches, but doing so will cut down on wait times and will also allow Si Señor to offer a rotating seasonal menu as well.
