Take a look inside the Victorian Village’s brand-new “neighborhood dive” bar

Jack McLaughlin

The Vic Village Tavern has officially arrived. Occupying the former home of The Shrunken Head, the new spot is located at 251 W. 5th Ave. in Victorian Village.

Owned by Quinn Allen, Matthew Herron and Lonnie Kubankin, who are behind other popular Columbus concepts like Zeno’s and The Library Bar, the new 5th Avenue space will embrace the neighborhood bar ethos, focusing on unpretentious beer options like Blatz, Old Style and Stroh’s.

The Tavern opened on March 23, and we stopped for an early look inside. From a smoking moose to chic leather booths, we’re ready to share those photos with you now.
