Shaq’s chicken restaurant is coming to Columbus

Big Chicken, the restaurant chain owned by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neil, is coming to central Ohio’s biggest city.

The brand recently announced its plans to bring 36 new locations to Ohio, an expansion that will begin in Columbus, according to a press release.

The Columbus locations of Big Chicken and when they plan to open have yet to be announced. Big Chicken opened its first Ohio eatery, which is located in Dayton, last summer.

Entrepreneurs Kurt Webb, Ryan Webb, Trever Einerson and Steve Crandall are behind the 36-restaurant expansion.

Big Chicken, which operates locations in 13 states, offers a variety of chicken sandwiches, multiple French fry styles, ice cream sandwiches and even giant cookies.
