This experimental food hall abruptly closed all three central Ohio locations after 10 months

Last January, three new experimental food halls opened at three different Kroger locations in Gahanna, Dublin, and Clintonville. Now, they’ve packed up their space and are all permanently closed.

Kroger employees have confirmed that Mix Food Hall, a concept where you could order and take home hot meals from restaurants like Hardees, Wow Bao, Wing Zone, plus more, closed abruptly. Google also mentions that they’re permanently closed.

This “food stand” allowed customers to order from about 6-7 different restaurants, all from one window, and the Mix Food Hall kitchen team would then cook and package the items, all the while you finish grocery shopping. 

Kitchen United, the company that started and owns Mix Food Hall, boasts on their website that this concept adds value to individual restaurants and is the future of off-premise tech. Unfortunately, this new approach to ordering take-out appears to have not worked out in the Central Ohio region.
