Video captures passerby punching out window of High Street bar

Surveillance video from outside an Old North bar captured an incident of vandalism from the long holiday weekend.

In a video clip posted to the Instagram account of Fives Up High, a popular Columbus bar located at 2375 N. High St. in the Old North, a passerby is captured smashing one of the bar’s windows.

In the video, the individual, who is walking by the front of the businsss, appears to punch through the window without stopping walking.

According to the post, Fives Up High owner did catch the culprit, who ended up spending the holiday in jail.

For Fives Up High and sister bar Threes Above High owner Scotts Ellsworth, random acts of vandalism aren’t anything new for the college-area bars, but the team behind both concepts does regularly come to social media to address in the incidents with humor and grace.

“You can knock us down ten times, but we’ll get top eleven,” Ellsworth wrote on the Fives Up High post.
