Sparano’s Pizza has served the city’s west side since 2001, with more than a decade’s worth of time at its current location. After their current home was sold, the decades-old Columbus pizzeria has found a new home.

According to city records, Sparano’s will remain on the city’s west side. The eatery plans to open its new location at 3947 W. Broad St.

Sparano’s is currently located at 3590 Trabue Rd. Records show a new residential development is planned for the corner of Trabue Road and Maplewood Drive.

A Sparano’s representative told 614Now that the eatery plans to reopen later this month, or in early July, but en exact date has not been announced.

“It’s bittersweet to leave St. Margherita community but there is no other option around there for us to relocate,” the representative told 614Now.

Offering Columbus-style pies, Sparano’s is likely best known for its Heavy Duty pizza, which features a massive amount of pepperoni, sausage, ham, onion, mushroom green peppers, banana peppers, in addition to extra cheese.
