A Columbus business owner is in need of support after an accident at a swimming pool landed him in the neurological intensive care unit.

According to a GoFundMe campaign created by friend Kelsey Weaver following his accident, Columbus business owner Danny Osborne sustained a broken neck and eye socket after diving into a swimming pool on Aug. 18.

Osborne then went into cardiac arrest, but his heart was eventually restarted after multiple rounds of CPR. According to the GoFundMe page, he also has a broken eye socket and bruising on his brain. Currently, he’s in the ICU at Riverside Hospital.

“Danny did not have health insurance mainly because he owns his own business. We all know that his medical bills will be unfathomable,” family friend Kelsey Weaver wrote in the GoFundMe campaign. “With Danny being out of work and Mandy (his wife) being by his side during this crucial part of his recovery, Mandy will also not be working. We, as close family and friends, wanted to create this fundraiser to help take the financial burden off of Mandy so she can focus on being there for her husband and 3 children.”

As Osborne owns and operates his own business, Ready to Renovate LLC, he does not have health insurance. The fundraiser is seeking $20,000, and has raised just under $10,000 at the time this story was published. You can donate here.

“Danny Osborne is one of a kind. He is the life of ANY party and he never knew a stranger,” Weaver said. “He and Mandy have been together for 27 years and have raised 3 amazing children. They also have 3 beautiful grand babies who they adore with every ounce of their hearts. Danny has always kept his family at the center of everything he does. If you’re friends with Danny, you’re considered family. He loves so unconditionally.”
