Columbus hotel named best property in the Americas with 500 rooms or more

For the second year in a row, and the fifth time in ten years, Hilton Columbus Downtown has been tapped for a prestigious international honor.

The hotel—which opened its anticipated second tower late last year—took home a Connie Award for the best property in the Americas in the “500 rooms or more” category.

The Connie Awards (named after Hilton founder Conrad Hilton) are handed out by Hilton to recognize the brand’s most outstanding properties and more. In a press release, the Downtown hotel referred to the award as Hilton’s “most prestigious.”

“Earning our fifth Connie Award is a true testament to our team’s ability to prioritize and deliver high-quality service to our guests, even throughout the changes the past year has brought us,” said Christian Coffin, general manager of Hilton Columbus Downtown in a press release. “Through the opening of our second tower, the introduction of four new food and beverage spaces, and amidst hosting several full-capacity events in the city, our team has continued to work tirelessly to deliver a positive guest experience to each and every visitor. We’re so grateful to be recognized for all we’ve accomplished.”

The original Hilton Columbus Downtown tower was constructed in 2012. Its expansion last year saw the addition of 500 guest rooms, multiple food and drink concepts and more.
