Car crashes into Franklinton brewery and restaurant

A vehicle has crashed into a popular Columbus eatery and taproom.

Just after 1:15 p.m. today, police responded to Taft’s Brewporium Columbus, which is located at 440 W. Broad St.

The vehicle, a tan-colored Buick, crashed into the glass windows and front door of Taft’s front entrance, which is facing Broad Street.

It’s currently unclear what caused the incident, but Columbus Police and Columbus Division of Fire were both on the scene. Police said that no one was injured in the incident.

The restaurant was open for lunch at the time of the crash, employees on the scene told 614Now. According to general manager Justin Ryan, the Franklinton taproom and restaurant is working hard to reopen as quickly as possible.
