With Cedar Point recently announcing a massive new high-flying coaster to its collection of attractions, Kings Island recently unveiled a new addition of its own.

Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, a family, friendly boomerang coaster, is slated to open on Kings Island’s opening day in 2024.

The 672-foot track will feature twists, turns, drops and more, and will hit a top speed of 36 miles per hour.

The new roller coaster will come alongside a rebranding and expansion of the park’s Planet Snoopy, which will be renamed Camp Snoopy. The new Camp Snoopy area will also feature an interactive play space.

“Camp Snoopy is just what families visiting Kings Island have been looking for,” said Mike Koontz, vice president and general manager of Kings Island. “We’ve designed this new immersive area to feel like a day at camp where families can spend time with each other in a variety of ways, from the thrill of a new coaster to exploring and relaxing in the great outdoors with their favorite Peanuts characters.”
