This Ohio-related meme was the second-most googled meme in the country this year

Ironically, the “Only in Ohio” meme made an impact far outside the Buckeye State this year.

Annually, Google releases its list of trending topics in both the world and the United States, including everything from the most-searched athletes. actors, movies, recipes and—you guessed it—memes.

This year, according to Google, the “Ohio” meme was the second most popular in the country.

While Google’s trending page only lists the meme as “Ohio,” we’re going to safely assume they’re referring to the “Only in Ohio” meme that seemed to catch fire last year.

According to a post from Lifestyle Asia, the meme originated from a 2016  X (formerly Twitter) post by I’m From Cleveland that compiles a handful of outrageous Ohio occurrences with the hashtag onlyinOhio.

We’ve decided to compile a handful of our own versions of the meme below, you know, for science.
