Popular local pizzeria and bagel vendor announce pizza bagel collaboration for April

This is not an April Fools joke.

A pair of popular local food concepts–Bears Bagels and Wizard of Za–have announced a month-long collaboration that officially kicked off on April 1. And guess what: They’re making pizza bagels.

“We are so excited to be partnering with our friends @bearsbagels614 on a brand new collab in columbus! Introducing PIZZA BAGELS! 🍕🥯 mark your calendars and be the first to try our newest creation, launching April 1st,” a statement posted to Wizard of Za’s Instagram account reads.

Using Bears Bagels’ sesame seed bagel as the base for the collaboration, the pizza bagel menu is simple in the way a great pizza bagel is: it will feature open-face pizza bagels with cheese and pepperoni (or whatever else you prefer). These can be eaten as they come, or adorned with sproccoli or resto rosso.from Wizard of Za.

Who knows, the collaboration may even have something special brewing for April 20 too.
