The “largest exhibition of animatronic creatures on the planet” is coming to Columbus next month

Jack McLaughlin

While it’s not likely you’re going to see a real-life dragon or wooly mammoth anytime soon, a unique new event on its way to the Columbus Convention Center will offer visitors an immersive, life-size look at more than 250 different creatures, both real and imaginary.

The national exhibit Animatronic Adventures is coming to the Columbus Convention Center Sept. 9-10.

Tickets for Animatronic Adventures, which start at $29, can be purchased here. A sensory-friendly session will be held on Sept. 9 at 8 a.m.

The event will feature more than 250 animatronic creatures across multiple different sections, including Dragon Dungeon, Dinosaur Expedition, Safari Encounter, Sea Creatures Exploration, Insect Invasion and Ice Age Invasion. Animatronic Adventures will also feature a section populated by massive, “enchanted” talking trees.

Animatronic Adventures is self-described as the “largest exhibition of animatronic creatures on the planet.”
