None other than local employer, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, ranked the absolute best employer in the entire country for women, and that’s something to be incredibly proud of! After all, women make up 47% of the country’s workforce right now, but according to The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 10% of these women are forced into lower-payer jobs than men, and a wage gap still exists to this day.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital was founded in 1892, headquartered in Columbus with about 15,000 employees. Chief Human Resource Officer Lorina Wise emphasized that women make up about 65% of the workforce at Nationwide Children’s.
AEP was also considered in the top 50, coming in at #35, as well as Ohio State University at #38.
