New night club opens in Arena District pub that’s under foreclosure; previous owner sued for almost a million
Fadi Michael owes almost a million dollars in civil suits, according to Franklin County Court records. He was the previous owner of Julep, which shuttered in the Short North after a lawsuit, and the other businesses he’s owned (Formaggio’s, Granero Lounge, Park Street Cantina) also closed after half a dozen lawsuits filed against Michael.
Another one of his bars & restaurants is facing a lawsuit. Callahan’s Bar & Rooftop, located at 520 Park St., is under foreclosure. Michael owes more than $500,000 on the property, plus more delinquent property taxes, according to the Franklin County Treasurer.

But this isn’t the end of that Arena District building. Callahan’s is now called “520 Park St.,” and it’s now an entirely new concept. “The venue is under new ownership, management, and vision,” says their Facebook. “520ParkSt is now a premier nightclub available for large party rooftop rentals to smaller room and party rentals, any night of the week all year long.”
Metal dancing poles were recently installed in the club, and club promoter DW Pictures rents the club out on the weekends, hiring dancers on some nights.
Last week, the line stretched around the block to get into this new club.
