Taylor Swift wore Columbus-based brand in public, and item now on backorder until July

No matter your thoughts on Taylor Swift, there’s probably one thing we can all agree on: her influence is notable, and the “Taylor Swift Effect” is indeed, real.

Just ask HOMAGE, a Columbus-based apparel brand, who’s paired up with NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce and their popular podcast, New Heights, for merchandise like hats and shirts.

Swift, who’s been dating Kelce for months now (just in case you live under a rock), wore a green “Dad Hat” from the HOMAGE x New Heights collab to Coachella Weekend One, and since then, “The hat has spiked a staggering 170x since Swift was spotted wearing it…” said the HOMAGE PR team.

HOMAGE has already had to restock their inventory twice already, and they’re looking at a potential third restock as sales of the hat show no signs of slowing down. Currently, you can order the hat online, but it’s not expected to ship out to customers in either of the black or green colors until July 16 of this year.

Seems like the best way to get your product out there is maybe by somehow convincing Taylor Swift to wear it in public. Take notes, business owners.
