This Columbus park is planning for renovation including cafe, stage, & more

Next summer, a local park is going to look a whole lot different.

Italian Village Park, on Hubbard Ave. & Kerr Street, is going to be undergoing a major redesign, with the project projected to be finished by the end of next summer.

The paths will be rearranged across the greenspace, and an event stage and plaza will be new additions as well.

A cafe is set to operate out of the first-floor of the Parkside on Pearl apartment building, and the city is planning building an outdoor seating space for patrons.

Right now, the park just features a tiny playground and some trees, and limited seating. The changes could make this a central hub in Italian Village.
